Marc Visser

Marc is the founder of SEC4OT, an OT/ICS security company based in the Netherlands, where he helps industrial organizations monitor and safeguard their operational technology and critical control systems.

His career spans 22 years in industrial automation, the last decade of which has focused on securing industrial control systems, a rare combination that lets him speak the language of both the plant floor and the security operations center. This dual fluency means he approaches OT security not as an IT problem bolted onto industrial systems, but from a deep understanding of how control systems, processes, and the people who run them actually work.

Through SEC4OT, Marc partners with asset owners and operators on secure monitoring and security testing, network segmentation, and complex migration projects within ICS/SCADA environments. His focus is on building resilient, defensible OT architectures that strengthen security posture without disrupting the availability and safety that industrial operations depend on.

Marc is a strong believer that effective OT security comes from bridging the long-standing gap between automation engineering and cybersecurity  and that the most durable defenses are the ones designed with operations, not against them.
