Preston Futrell

Preston Futrell serves as Partner and Global Leader of the OT Security Practice at IBM, where he oversees the development and delivery of cybersecurity services for critical operational technology environments.  Before assuming his global OT leadership role, he spent five years directing IBM’s cybersecurity business for industrial and communications markets in the United States, managing both service teams and strategic client relationships.  Over his 28-year cybersecurity career, Preston has led major transformation and security programs across Energy, Manufacturing, Technology/Media, and Telecommunications industries. His career includes leadership roles at Internet Security Systems, Reflex Systems, and NexDefense, spanning software, hardware, consulting, and managed security services. With deep experience at both large-scale security providers and emerging technology startups, Preston has contributed to pioneering advancements, including innovative cloud and virtualization security capabilities and first-of-a-kind OT security technologies and services.
