Tamir Margalit

Tamir is a cybersecurity leader with over 20 years of experience specializing in ICS and OT security, critical infrastructure protection, and complex industrial environments. His career spans national-level defense, global consulting, and hands-on leadership in securing some of the most sensitive IT and OT systems worldwide.
As Director of ICS and OT Security at Sygnia, Tamir leads the development and execution of the company’s industrial cybersecurity strategy. He oversees OT incident response engagements, assessment and detection programs, and the creation of methodologies for protecting industrial control systems, energy, transportation, and manufacturing environments. Working closely with executive stakeholders and technical teams, he helps organizations strengthen resilience, bridge IT and OT security operations, and prepare for real-world cyber threats.
Previously, Tamir held senior consulting and architecture roles at Cymotive, supporting leading global organizations including Volkswagen AG, Audi AG, and Ferrari Engineering. His work covered IT and OT security, automotive and embedded systems security, cloud environments, and large-scale security transformation programs.
Earlier in his career, Tamir spent over 14 years at the Prime Minister Office, serving as a cybersecurity officer and team leader responsible for protecting national critical infrastructures. He was a key contributor to national working groups that shaped the Israeli doctrine for securing OT assets and critical infrastructure, bringing together operational, technical, and strategic perspectives.
Tamir is known for combining deep technical expertise with pragmatic leadership, translating complex cyber risks into actionable strategies, and helping organizations operate securely in high-impact industrial and critical environments.
